When the lady of the house saw a rural manor just around the corner from the plot that they had bought to build their own dream home, she knew she’d found her dream idea. Thanks to a collaboration with the right people who helped to develop this dream, it was turned into a reality.
We journey to the beautiful region of Limburg to see how dreams really can come true. We are met by Charles-Werner Cops, business manager at Habitude Villabouw and also an architect, who designed the house that provided the inspiration for the family’s own project. “The lady saw the beautiful manor around the corner and fell head-over-heels right away; the family then contacted us. We drafted three designs and the third one was exactly what they were looking for.” The family’s dream? A rural manor house with a few playful elements. These expectations were realised with variation in the windows and a range of roofing elements. The creation looks like a central manor house with outbuildings. “The family didn’t want an overly large house with expansive rooms but they did want all mod-cons”, explains Mr Cops. The large, wooden gates are open and lead us towards this stunning property. A path leads us past a sleek front garden. which runs around the house towards the main garden, and to the front door. Before we head inside, we cast a glance over this large, green garden and take in the view.
