Some time ago, ‘Van der Padt & Partners Architecten’ won a competition to design a house in Rotterdam. Together with ‘Atelier op Zolder’, they were given the opportunity to bring their design to life.
For the house’s window and door fittings, they turned to the original and whimsical Pure® butterfly line by Dauby. For the bathroom and kitchen accessories, they opted for the luxurious Pure® Plus collection.
Here are a few mood photos:
This project used products from the Pure® Plus collection: hooks for hand towels on the kitchen island, the toilet roll holder, and the toilet brush holder. For the kitchen, the cupboards and the door and window handles, the designers chose the butterfly knobs and handles (PBU & PMBU) from the Pure® butterfly line.

Sand-cast production process
Thanks to the sand-cast production process and hand-finishing, all of the Dauby elements that were used in this house provide a unique, hand-crafted, traditional look.
In addition, the fittings and accessories were made using only natural materials, adding a ‘living finish’ to the final design.
This means that the use (or not) of the fittings will give them a patina and colour shading that will gradually intensify.
