Focus on Roberto Maci
Roberto Maci was able to give his creativity free rein during his studies in fine art and sculpture. He then drew on his passion for architecture to start his degree in the subject, graduating in 1986. After this he worked with other designers on various interior design projects in Italy and much further afield, such as the Bolidò disco club in New York.
In 1991 it was time for him to take a new step in his life. That year he founded his own design and architecture agency. Back then his focus was not just on design and architecture. The environment and the use of natural materials and methods were also enormously important to him. This interest in nature stayed with him and is even so strong that he helps set up various projects, such as ‘Natural Living’ to foster nature. He is also happy to share all his knowledge and experience with others and teaches in various universities.
A creative product designer
Maci is not just an architect; as a product designer, his designs include lights, furniture and door fittings for a variety of companies such as Vistosi, RDS, Mandarina Duck, Target and Giovannetti. The door handles he designs for RDS are eyecatchers in your interior. For example, his ‘Leggera’ door handle is a stylish model that will be in keeping in any designer home. The ‘Ponza’ model, on the other hand, is quite special and gives a unique touch to your interior.
