That the Italian Brian Sironi is a talented industrial designer is demonstrated by the many prizes he has received over the course of his career. Naturally, his studies and experiences in Italy and the United States have something to do with this as well. While Brian Sironi is very self-assured, he doesn´t need to be the focus of attention. He prefers to concentrate on designing his products. Below you can discover more about the life and work of Brian Sironi.
Brian Sironi, a versatile designer
Born in 1977, Brian Sironi studied industrial design in Milan. After his schooling he worked together with architects, designers and professionals such as smiths or sculptors. Later he continued his training in the United States, where he worked for several well-known architecture and design firms. With this knowledge and experience he returned to Italy, where he started his own studio: Studio Brian Sironi, specialized in product design, interior design and architecture.
Functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand
His goal? To design products that make the user’s life easier and which look beautiful. The user, the object, the form and functionality thus always play a central role in his designs. An example of this is the Erica lamp, made for Martinelli Luce. The pure forms are immediately striking. Design and functionality coincide perfectly. So it’s not surprising that Brian Sironi was awarded the Compasso d´Oro for this in 2011. He was even one of the youngest designers to have ever won this prize.
Pure forms are central
As a versatile designer, he not only produces chairs, furniture and decorations, but he gives his creativity free rein for door fittings as well. For example, he designs stylish door handles for the Italian company Frascio. This Dauby door handle from the Design collection is one of Brian Sironi´s creations and is beautiful in every interior. Matt chrome or varnished brass, both materials require little maintenance and give your door fittings a unique look.
