Starck made the headlines in 1984 when he was commissioned to renovate the interior of the Palace Elysée, the official resident of the French president. From that time forward, the commissions came flooding in from every corner of the globe.

Sensual design

Philippe Starck’s designs are renowned for their striking names, mercurial lines and above all their sensual shapes. Would he have time for door handles and door knobs amidst all this sensuousness? The answer is a resounding yes!
